Lyons Outdoor Products was started with a group of hunting buddies in the early 2000s. Scott’s decoy inventions are durable, reliable, and made in the USA. In recent years, Scott Lyons has decided to form Lyons Outdoor Products with the help of his life long hunting friends.

About the Founder
Scott Lyons – Founder, Lyons Outdoor Products
Scott Lyons was raised in the bluff country of southeast Minnesota, where his passion for the outdoors took root early. Surrounded by woods, streams, and the Mississippi River, Scott spent his youth fishing, exploring, and eventually trapping—sparked by the discovery of a rusty trap at age 10.
While others dreamed of office jobs, Scott set his sights on becoming a professional trapper. By his early twenties, he was running traplines, harvesting ginseng, and trapping live bait full time. Over the years, Scott adapted with the seasons—fishing, trapping, and even participating in the pikeminnow reward program—all while honing a deep understanding of wildlife and natural patterns.
In 2022, after decades of hands-on experience and over 20 years of tinkering with decoy designs, Scott founded Lyons Outdoor Products. His goal: to create smart, field-tested gear that helps fellow outdoorsmen outsmart their quarry. Every product is shaped by real experience—and a lifetime outdoors.
